Annmarie is an Integrative Counsellor, she studied and graduated at City Lit. Her background is rooted in two diverse fields; art and psychology. She also has many years of experience volunteering in various organisations that helped shape her path into training as a counsellor. During these years, she was able to build her experience and ability working in one-to-one relationships.
At Yes Future, a coaching organization that works with students in secondary school, she offered extra help with issues that might be holding these students back from reaching their full potential. She also volunteered in a mentoring capacity with Jigsaw4U, who work with vulnerable children who are making the transition from Primary to secondary school.
It was her experience running an art group at The Sunshine Recovery Café that led her on the path to working with adults as a counsellor. Annmarie finds this field very rewarding in terms of challenges and the possible changes that an adult can make in their life.
Annamarie has been with EASE Wellbeing since 2018, her curiosity and passion gave her the opportunity to create a therapeutic environment where clients can feel safe to open themselves. Her therapeutic approach is based on providing an empathic space and an ability to attentively listen to the others’ needs. Thanks to her experiences in art and coaching she has also developed a creative and lateral way of thinking that infuses her therapeutic work.
