Ayoola Yusuff

Honorary Counsellor working with clients in Hackney

Ayoola sees each of us as unique and deserving of a clear therapeutic plan and approach best suited to individual needs and preferences while using the most efficient therapy modality. She believes that the collaborative relationship between a counsellor and client is fundamental to the counselling process and her focus is to walk alongside you in this unfamiliar landscape.

Ayoola aims to provide a warm, accepting and compassionate space in which the client can make sense of what’s going on for them, gaining the clarity and understanding that will help them move forward with greater meaning and ease.

She completed her Level 2 and Level 3 Certificate in Counselling skills at The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London (CONEL). She is currently studying for her level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling at East London and Essex Counselling and Therapy Traning (ELECT), an integrative humanistic approach which sets forth that providing the right conditions, a person can reach their full potential and become their true self, through a self- actualisation process. Ayoola is part of the counselling team at The Liberty Church London as a Volunteer Counsellor providing a safe space for the black commuinity to talk about the difficulties and stigma around counselling.

Ayoola graduated from university with a degree in Geography and Environmental Science and has worked in the Civil Service for 10 years, most spent as a Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages across 3 London boroughs. She has since developed the passion to serve people with the understanding that the same solution does not always fit all.

During your sessions together, Ayoola will encourage you to explore your own beliefs and behaviour, with the goal of becoming more self-aware and achieving the personal development and independence you are striving towards.
