Samaritans: Call 116 123

The Samaritans offer a free number to call 24/7 and someone will be there to listen to you and help you talk through your concerns, worries and troubles. While they are not a counselling or psychotherapy service, the possibility to just connect with someone and have them listen to your concerns can make a difference.

Crisis Text Line provides free, 24/7, high-quality text-based mental health support and crisis intervention via text or WhatsApp, by empowering a community of trained volunteers to support people in their moments of need.

SANEline: Call 0300 304 7000

SANEline is a national out-of-hours mental health helpline offering specialist emotional support, guidance and information to anyone affected by mental illness, including family, friends and carersSANEline is open between 4pm to 10pm, 365 days a year. 

Calm: Call 0800 58 58 58

Calm, or the Campaign Against Living Miserably is a helpline that is focused on helping anyone experiencing suicidal thoughts whether they are early ideas or advanced plans. Their helpline is open 5pm–midnight, 365 days a year. They also offer a webchat service www.thecalmzone.net
