Our ethos

The heart of our organisation is our team.  We work together in a supportive manner so that everything we do is built upon our relationships with each other.

Being collaborative means, everyone’s opinion matters and everyone’s beliefs are important. The diversity of our team’s ideas and experiences, is invaluable.  We welcome difference in all its forms but also hold tightly to the conviction of a shared humanity that enables us to offer the same respect, compassion and empathy to everyone equally.

We all speak a common language that is warm, inclusive and supportive. Our focus is upon making the time our clients spend with us, as helpful as possible.

The work that we do is filled with curiosity about a person’s values and beliefs, and how they experience the world. We consider it our duty to work hard to establish a relationship with each of our clients that is kind and courageous, compassionate and challenging, concerned and constructive. These are the characteristics of the EASE approach.

Our History

EASE Wellbeing is a Community Interest Company created by experienced mental health practitioners, with the aim of making counselling both accessible and affordable. Our approach is informed by over 60 years of experience working in the NHS, charitable and private sectors.

Our board of advisors bring a wealth of expertise from different disciplines to help EASE provide the best possible service to our clients.

Our clinicians are all trained in delivering our evidence-based intervention and have your individual needs at the heart of their approach.

We offer a counselling service that 99% of our clients would recommend to a friend.

“I have had the pleasure of dealing with Mark and the EASE team for several years. We agreed to be part of a pilot scheme, which thanks to Mark’s continued support has been a tremendous success.”

Our aims

We created the EASE Wellbeing approach in the public sector over 14 years ago to compliment mental health services and access for patients of GP practices.

More recently, we have extended our services to self-referrals to enhance access and make pathways to treatment efficient and immediate.

What this means is that you can call us at any time, you will be spoken to or responded to within 24 hours and you will be offered an assessment of your concerns within 5 days.

Thereafter, we will offer you an appropriate set of talking therapy sessions that are based upon how your difficulties are affecting you and how you would like to address them.

The EASE approach is a collaborative endeavour. That means we will be working together to recover or discover how you may be able to find hope, meaning and purpose in as short a time as possible with an emphasis on you being in charge of how you live your life.
